God’s WORD wins every time

God's WORD always wins.
God’s WORD wins every time

God’s WORD IS POWERFUL

Your Words are powerful, but God’s WORD is full of creative power and life. When you choose to agree with what God has already declared about you and speak His WORD, your circumstances will begin to change and line up with his will for your life. Whose report will you believe? Whatever is looking at you boldly in face right now, or despite the struggles you are encountering, you have a choice with your words; choose life or death, choose to rise up or stay down, choose to be defeated or choose to be more than a conqueror.

The choice is always ours to make. I choose to speak the WORD of God regardless. If God’s WORD was perfect to create a beautiful earth out of nothing, then, it is perfect to fashion my circumstances to line up with God’s plan for my life.

Deut. 30:19. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Deut. 30:14. But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
Isaiah 55:10-11. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (KJV)
John 6:63. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

God’s WORD is filled with answers

When you have growing children, especially toddlers you know there are questions coming at you from all angles. Questions you don’t know the answers for half the time. If children are filled with life’s questions, and they are just starting out, what about us.  The bible is filled with many answers to life’s questions, find out what it says about you. if there is any WORD you can trust completely, it is the unadulterated WORD of the living God. That is tried and true for centuries. If He keeps his WORD  to a thousand generations, he will surely keep it to you. Take a moment every day and feed your life in the book of answers for all times, the life giving, life changing WORD of God.

Today’s prayer
Father I align my words with your words, my will with your will and my thoughts with your thoughts. I speak to everything that is out of order in my life and call them into divine order and to line up with your word and plan for my life. Your plans are excellent toward me. You want the best for me and not to harm me, your thoughts are always for my well-being. I win every time with your word. Give me confidence to believe you and live worthy of your calling and enabling. In Jesus Name Amen.

How do you see yourself?

How do you see yourself,  looking through the eyes of God?

Do you see yourself the way God sees you? How possible is this, you might say, since I don’t know how God sees me. Let’s start by looking at Psalm 139:14 which says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made”. Let’s take a look at Genesis 1:27, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them”. Our first self concept must derive its true meaning from the word of God, which tells us, that we are especially created in a distinct or unique way, fashioned after the likeness of God himself.  When you see yourself the way God sees you, your perspective about life changes. No one will validate you like God has. You must see yourself through the eyes of God and not the eyes of man. The leaders of Israel made a big mistake when they went to spy out the land. The Lord gave Moses instructions to send one representative leader from every tribe to explore the land of Canaan.

How did Israel see themselves – Grasshopper?

The leaders of Israel were also instructed to see what the land was like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many. What kind of land the people live in? Is it good or bad? What towns do they live in? Are they unwalled or fortified? How is the soil? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees on it or not? And to bring back some of the fruits of the land (Numbers 13:18-20).

The men came back with a horrendous report. They told Moses and all of Israel, “The land does flow with milk and honey! BUT the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large (Numbers 13: 27-28).” That’s not the worst of all, they continued, “We seem like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” Really, if there is anything that infuriates God is gross unbelief, doubt and complaining. How about you? Do you seem like a grasshopper against your comparisons? I’m sure you may have felt like that before.

Developing a positive self-image about yourself?

It is not what people think about you that really  matters, but what you think or say about yourself. People will always have their opinion of you, regardless of how you act. Think positive about yourself, create your own positive self-image of who you are and who you want to be. Norman Peale in his book “The amazing results of positive thinking’ mentions, Thomas Carlyle’s work that speaks clearly of the ways one thinks and acts in response to life’s changes and challenges. According to his view, life ask of each of us, “Will you be a hero , or will you be a coward?”  “Will you be tough-minded or tender minded?” Like Norman I agree, “The positive thinker will believe in himself, in life, in humanity and in God. He knows his own capacity, and his own ability. He is undaunted and invincible. He will draw the best from whatever comes.” Your positive self-image emerges from God’s likeness and image from which you and I were formed wonderfully and fearfully.

How about that grasshopper mentality?

What you say about yourself, depends on how you see yourself. Israel’s defeat did not come because of how their enemies saw them, but how they saw themselves. Don’t make the same mistake. It is not your friends or family’s job to have a positive image of you it’s your job. If you think that you are stupid then, your life may speak the same. This is something the Lord has been dealing with me on in a very strong way. To never see myself in other people’s eyes or perception of me, but to see myself and speak the same, the way he sees me and declare who I am, the way he does. If you let people define, you will have a very poor image of yourself. They are not your Creator!

7 ways to developing a healthy perspective of yourself?

 1.  Stop comparing yourself with others.

2.  If you must believe something about yourself believe what the

bible says.

3.  Never short change  your gifts and graces you are unique and

amazing in your own right.

4.  Walk in God confidence – Stay positive no matter what happens.

5.  Be the amazing you God created you to be.

6.  Be kind, caring and loving to others on purpose

7.  Be a world changer with a positive attitude

How do you see yourself when you look into the mirror?

Normally when you look into the mirror, you see an image of yourself looking back at you and not everyone like what’s looking back at them. However, when you look into the mirror of the word, you will love what’s looking back at you, because God’s mirror always reveal a beautiful image. Find out what the word has to say about you and the one who created you. You actually look like him, even while you may not feel like it, physically look like it, or even act like it, you look like your Creator (Gen 1:27). In fact you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). There is absolutely none like you out there, you are not a cheap replica of someone else. God made you so unique, go out there and shine, make your mark in the earth. Accomplish what God says you can accomplish.

Never allow people’s opinion of you stop you from being the amazing you, God created you to be. If you don’t like something about yourself, change it or make it better. But just be happy with the redeemed you that Christ has formed. Be happy with yourself, life is too short to worry about other people’s opinion. You might not be where you want to be but, be thankful for where you are right now it could be much worse.

Daily, breath in the life of God and breath out his goodness to others.

Open your mouth and declare who you are in Christ: I am blessed, my life produces excellence, integrity, honesty, holiness, generosity, vision, wisdom, health, faith and love. Live life happy, on purpose and walk in God confidence.

 Be blessed.

Prayer focus: God give us an undivided heart

Lord Give me an undivided heart

This was God’s desire for the people of Israel, that they know and serve no other God besides him. His desire is to be known intimately, revealing his character and nature to a people he calls his own and a people who calls him their own.

These scriptures demonstrate God’s deep desire to be among his people and be their God:

Leviticus 26:11-12 ‘Moreover, I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not reject you. ‘ I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.

Jeremiah 24:7 I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart.

God communicated this to Moses to teach the people that there is one true God who brought them out of Egypt and who desires to keep their families healthy and bless them more than any other people on the earth (DEUT. 7:14).

Why would we not think that this is still God’s desire for us today. As the Apple of his eyes absolutely…. in 2 Corinth. 6:16 Paul made a clear comparison between the temple of God and idols, showing that God desires to be the only God that dwells in human temples and not give that place to the idols.

2 Corinthians 6:16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

God knows that this cannot be carried out simply by saying it, because if people’s hearts are far from him and their hearts are set on other gods, all his goodness will be expressed to do evil and to give glory to other gods. God does not have a problem doing things for his people but he does have a problem with our loyalty even after he’s been good to us. This is where the undivided heart comes in, a heart that is loyal and dedicated to God alone.

In Deuteronomy 30:6 Moses told the people of Israel, that the Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you many love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.

Ezekiel 11:19 says  I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.

Psalm 86:11 declares Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

I pray today that God will give you an undivided heart, a heart that is not easily distracted by anything or anyone. There are many distractions and cares of this life that could keep you from being focused on the word and prayer daily.

No matter what confronts us today, my prayer is that we will never lose our confidence in God or his word. That we will never give up or quit, regardless, of what we face. Things are temporary and are subject to change but God’s word is forever settled in heaven, it is eternal and anything that comes face to face with the word, must be subject to what God says. Remember, God’s word is his bond, therefore, it is our final authority. Take time to read the

Take time to attend to the word of God today

Take time to attend to the word

Attending to the word of God daily, must become a priority for every believer in Christ. Prayer is more effective when we spend time in the word, finding out what God says about everything we desire to pray about. When God give us his word he also gives us his authority. The authority of the believer is emphasized when the believer stands and relies on the authority of the word.

Psalm 119: 89    Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

1 Peter 1:25
but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.

Discover the TREASURES that are wrapped up in the word of God, you get the opportunity to unwrap and discover the treasures of the WORD FOR YOURSELF. The WORD IS LOADED, IT IS OUR DAILY BREAD. Feed your spirit today with the nourishing, empowering WORD OF TRUTH. You will never regret one moment of it. This is a great devotional item by Beth Moore.

As you spend time reading and praying, quiet yourself, listen and meditate on what the WORD is saying to you. Listen to the Holy Spirit. How might you bring changes in your life and how might you give life to someone today? By sharing a compliment, a kind gesture, or a simple smile. You see, PRAYER and the WORD do not only affect you but affect others you encounter as well.

Proverbs 4:20-27

King James Version (KJV)

20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Advancing the Kingdom of God in the earth!

Do you have the light of Life living in you?

Let you Light shine brightly!
Let you Light shine brightly!

Do you have the light of Life living in you?

John 8:12

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

LIGHT is an amazing part of life that we take for granted every day. Whether we use a torch light, battery light of some sort, solar light or electric light, lighting adds great quality to everyday life. Otherwise, we would really find it difficult to function effectively without it. Genesis records one of the first things that God created-light (Gen 1:3). “God said, Let there be light; he willed it, and at once there was light.”

The world is a very dark place. DARKNESS does not only exist where there is literal absence of light, but sadly DARKNESS exist and in many cases rules the heart man.

Jeremiah 17:9 says “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” When wickedness and darkness rules the heart of men, there is no telling what they are capable of doing, except what is evil.

Mark (7:21-22) explains in more details, the state of a man’s heart and what it is capable of producing; “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” Without even looking at the scripture, just take a look around, listen to the news and before long, you cannot help but become disgusted with the many things you hear and see.

The Light of the world showed up

Well fortunately there is hope for all, the whole world. The light of the world has come, to brighten things up for us. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, the wise men from the East, inquired about Jesus’ location, because they saw his star, so, they showed up to worship Christ the King. Their inquiry provided no answer as to Jesus’ location, but as they continued on their journey, the same star they saw in the east, went ahead of them and led them to the place where Jesus was (Matt 2:1-9). It was prophesied that, Jesus would be the star that comes out of David (Numbers 24:17).

According to an article on chrstiananswers.net (1997) “The star went before the Magi and led them directly from Jerusalem to Bethlehem. This is a distance of about six miles, in a direction from north to south. However, every natural object in the sky moves from east to west due to the earth’s rotation.” Different scholars of astronomy share varying views on the star of Bethlehem. While man attempt to explain the scientific meaning of the star, no natural explanation of science would ever be adequate to justify the miracle of the supernatural light that let the wise men to Jesus.

God led his people by light

Note in the bible, there are several times when God led his people with a cloud or fire. Exodus 40:34-38). The cloud and fire were leading the children of Israel by day and by night. When the cloud rested, the Children of Israel stayed where they were, but when the cloud was lifted they journeyed onward where God led them. It appears that the cloud was a signal of the Lord’s leading. The cloud was upon the tabernacle by day and the fire by night for all the people to see. 1Kings 8:10 states, when the priests withdrew from the Holy Place, the cloud filled the temple of the LORD. This is the cloud of glory. In Acts 9:3-5, Saul had an encounter with the light of heaven while he was on his way to Damascus. After the light the voice of Jesus spoke to Saul and his life was changed forever.

Let this light shine through you

Does this light mean anything to us today? Absolutely, the star, the light, the cloud and the fire were all signals of God’s presence and leadership. Today we do not see the light in these various ways but we are led by the Spirit of God. Believe it or not, God is still leading his people. Just as the Children of Israel could see the cloud and fire, we as God’s children can also experience the same fire and the same light, living in and guiding us daily.

Jesus is the light of the world. This same Jesus lives inside of us. So why must the world continue to be a dark place, when Jesus the light of the world lives in us? Where ever you and I go, so does the light, when we submit to the light, we find that our lives are led in amazing and supernatural ways.

The greatest witness that we can be as believers in Christ is not to shout it out that we are Christians but to simply let the light of Jesus shine through us, in our actions, speech and lifestyle. Paul said, “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.  And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you (Eph 4:26-42).”

Will you be someone’s star that leads them to Jesus Christ?

Pray that the light of Jesus shines bright every season than any other light in the world.

This is the time for a great harvest of souls to enter the Kingdom of God.

Advancing the kingdom of God in the earth.

Be thankful

As the year closes out in one month, we have a tendency to look back on our past achievements, failures and the many plans we have made at the beginning of the year. Give thanksSome of us may look back with feelings of regret, some may look back in disappointment and some may look back with a feeling of nostalgia. We may encounter feelings of some sort as we reminisce on the events of this year, but what is important is that we do not allow what we have accomplished or failed to accomplish, determine our thankfulness in this season. Unfortunately, this is the time of year when many people struggle with feelings of depression and abandonment for various reasons. Rest assure that no matter where you are on your journey to success, healing or accomplishments, God is working behind the scenes to make it happen. We must be confident that God is carrying us in the moments when we feel like he is not there. He is closer than the air we breathe.

I challenge you, to forget the undesirables and press toward the prize of the high calling in Christ. Join in praise and thanksgiving for His goodness despite all the should haves, could haves and would haves this year. Thank him for all the “I have”. There are many reasons to praise God. Just find one reason to give him praise. You are alive, aren’t you? Start there. Praise him for his wonderful acts, praise him for hope in Jesus Christ. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.  (Psalm 150:6).

God has not forgotten about you. He knows the purpose he has created you for and he knows where you need to go and how to get you there (Jer. 29:11). He has seen your labor of love, your toil, your pain, your confusion, your hurt, your disappointments, your failures, your good and your bad moments but none of these things move him or takes him by surprise. He is God and he is well able to accomplish what concerns you. According to Galatians 6:7-10 “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Instead of giving up, keep on doing good, keep on walking toward your goal, keep on trusting God and doing what he tells you. Be not deceived God is not blind and he will reward you in due season.

Be encouraged to praise him, this season. Let his praise continually be in your mouth. Praise him in all things and for all things. Where ever you are right now, please have a thankful heart, don’t wait for something to happen, praise him like something has already happened, because it has. Praise God for being so good to you.

1Thessalonians 5:18
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Chronicles 16: 8
Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

Psalm 7:17
I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.

Eph. 5:20

Claim your benefits

Benefits packageBenefits package

Anyone who is in the job market, looking for a job will always be more interested in jobs that offer benefits. Although we may not think strongly about benefits, they are essential and add value to us and our family’s lives. Many organizations are seeking to make their fringe benefits package more attractive so that they can attract and retain the best professionals in the market. Some of those benefits are tuition assistance, flexible medical, childcare spending accounts, medical insurance, 401k disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off, retirement benefits and much more. We love good benefits and feel a sense of security about our well-being because our benefits allow us to go to the doctor, take vacations, stay home when we are sick and enjoy our perks. As Christians we do not realize that we have benefits too, benefits that far outweigh the benefits of our jobs, but we seldom claim them. David praises God in Psalm 103:1- 5 and describes the benefits that he receives from God.

Psalm 103:1-5

1Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

He forgives our sins, he heals all our diseases, he redeems our lives from destruction, he crowns us with loving kindness, and satisfies our desires with good things.

You do not have to work hard to achieve it or better yet, try to earn it, these benefits are not dependent on your performance level with God. Whether you have met God’s level of holiness or you fell short a little. In fact, we really did not qualify for any of these benefits. Yet he made provisions for us even before we showed up in the world (Roms. 5:8). The price has been paid, it’s now time for us to access and enter into God’s provision through the door Jesus Christ. The greatest part of this is that, as long as Jesus is a part of our lives, we will always have access to of all God’s benefits (James 1:17).

Regardless of what’s happening in your life, do not leave any benefits on the table. All belongs to you (2 Corinth. 1:20). And do you qualify? Absolutely, you have a blood bought right to all the fullness of God in Christ Jesus.

These are some great resources that will help you claim and walk in the benefits of Christ

Be Strong and Courageous

Be strong and courageous – 2 Chronicles 32:7-8

strong_courage“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said.

The key to our victory is not necessarily how well we can do what we do, or how effective we are at what we undertake, but understanding that we serve a God who is awesome, majestic and all powerful, who is ready and willing to intervene in our daily lives.

Rely on Jesus, listen for his guidance, and follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit. “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27). Hearing the voice of Jesus makes all the difference and yes he speaks, he will be found of those who diligently seek after him. Make Jesus your pursuit above all pursuits, this year. Walking in victory is walking in Jesus, for with them is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.

We are the only people who know the outcome of a battle before we actually engage in combat. We already have the victory, because we are on the winning side. Never rely totally on the arm of flesh because they will fail. According to Psalms 118:8; “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.” The Lord is with me; he is my helper. I will look in triumph on my enemies. (Psalm. 118:7)

Be strong in the Lord, for he is your shield and buckler. Make your daily declaration; “The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid”.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).”

The same God that was with Daniel, the same God that was with Joseph, the same God that was with the three Hebrew boys and the same God that was with David, is the same God with me today. So rise up, go forth and accomplish what God has placed on your heart.

For your declaration Psalms 118:1-29
